ISSUES
I am a Veteran car audio guy but a "technical" Newbie....With the Components for a system I just purchased the seller has included the paperwork for his 2nd place in the USACI World finals in the 150-300 class..It is an SQ set up..ARC Amps etc...
I am not all that familiar with Competitions..What exactly does this 150-300 class placing tell me about the overall system???

Yea...I would have thought it meant DB also...I am somewhat familiar with DB levels and "HELL YEA" thats loud....But since this is an SQ system only running on about 750 total watts I highly doubt it's DB...Thats what confuses me..Does anyone know what 150-300 category means in SQ competition?

I believe it reffers to overall system power in watts @ 4ohm meaning all amps added up RMS @4 ohm.

That would be meca. Usaci goes by wattage at 4ohms. 0-300 301-600 601-900 etc
As most people didnt read, its a sound quality system. Second at finals is very good. BUT that doesnt mean youll get second, Your install and imageing has to be just as good if not better then his.

If you have 2 subs and an amp ranging in the 150 - 3oo class, I believe it measn that you are class AS1. So thats the system youd have.

ISSUES
Yea I do not think I will get 2nd in my 1992 GMC truck..but it shows he had some decent SQ with these amps.
I read what this guy ran and it was pretty minor..he used 1 amp to power 1 JL 8" sub???
I figured it couldn't be too loud with that!!!........LOL!!!

i heard a jl w7 8" with like 500 watts going to it and it got **** loud

You keep sayin SQ, i think you mean SPL, but anyways i think it shows that he had some decent "SPL" with those amps, because a system that placed 2 in world in the 150-300 watt class, would be strait spl in order to get that loud....
