thing that ***** is, the cars i'm getting have smaller and smaller hatches... i could possibly getting a dodge stealth for cheap... you know what that means... 8's... possible just one 8''. not that i mind. i like 8's, but its not nearly gonna be competition worthy...

didnt say i wouldnt do my best OR have fun... but i did say i could only fit 2 8's, possibly 1 (i'm not going sealed). the hatch isnt normal... its incredibly small.... ever seen one?? its about 6- 8 inchs deep. thats small...

All you can do is work with what ya got, make it as loud as you can. 145 with one 8 Is definitely possible!

lol... its possible... i guess. air space is gonna make it hard. i'm looking for a nice pair of 8's, got any suggestions??? i was thinking kicker S8L7's, or the ma audio ma800xl??? subwoofers. not sure on exact model number.

I was there last year, came with a few not-so-into-audio friends... I think I'll be leaving them in Dayton this go-around.

I have those MA audio 8's if you want to buy them.

They are actually respectable woofers. Dropped them into a single 12 box with a different baffle... and pulled a 145.5 in the monte with under 700 total watts... if I remember, ~400-500. They sounded OK, definitely louder tuned high (peak was ~50hz), but they didnt sound bad at all tuned lower. The 145 box, btw, was ~1 cube.

I flat out wasn't ready for the show... the fuse rule had just gone into effect and I didnt have the monte built yet.

Also missed it in 04 for the same dam reason.
