I love my dobe, i have had him for 5 years. They're probably one of the best dogs on the planet. I would deffinitely say they are not a single owner dog. he loves people. Hes a little unsure about kids. But that is just because he has never really been around them. But you can not get a more loyal dog. He also has a little bit of dog agression, he will get along with other dogs he just has to be boss.
