I'm building an enclosure for 2 American Bass XFL 15's.
It's going in a Pathfinder powered by an AB VFL-450.1.

no problem with it, it's not going to hurt anything it's just a lot of unneeded work.

I don't like the lines that the kerfing leaves, which is why I don't do more of these.
4 thin coats of bondo and it's pretty smooth now...I think the next one I do, I'm going to apply a piece of laminate over the kerf.

It's almost done...The kerfs look better. All i have to do is round the edges and sand one more time.

It's a BHE design.

int he future, please tape off the port. you went through alot of trouble on the kerf's to make them look pretty. where the paint is the glue will NOT penetrate the wood and addhere like it should. other than that looks great

and a little friendly tip for the kerf section, you should have 11 cuts my man for a perfect 90* not 14. that would be why you have gaps in most of the kerfs. its structural integrity will increase once all cuts have no gaps.

I appreciate your tips, however I'm not done with box yet...I did tape off the kerfs today and sprayed them again.
also that little bit of spray paint did not stop the glue from adhering like it should.
with the 14 cuts, I followed the design to the tee that was given to me by BHE Bass Heads Entertainment....I think they know how to design a box.
Structural integrity?...I resined it! ...It's now the strongest part of the box!

Everyone does things differently though.
I have been a Cabinet Maker/CAD Designer since May of 2002...so almost 11 years of building everyday, things that are a lot more complex than a speaker box.
