Re: Diamond D9 build
you sure theres enough mounting dpeth for the sub? It looks like its going to hit the port tubes
-
Re: Diamond D9 build
Wow lol thats what I get for changing my design while I was building it without checking the math
It hits the ports!!
Needs about another quarter inch of clearance.
What should I do? Hopefully I can make this box work or ill just sell it and build another.

Re: Diamond D9 build
Hmmm seems small is that before or after displacement?
Sub should be as far away from the ports as possible
-
Re: Diamond D9 build
could you invert the sub?
-
Re: Diamond D9 build
2.18 after displacement according to torres calc
I guess i could invert the sub but I would prefer not to.
Dang I think I can use this box for a type r 12 I have.
do you think 2.18 net is too big for a type-r?

Single threaded rod maybe?

Re: Diamond D9 build
I decided to use the cutout of the flush mount baffle to make a mounting ring to bring the sub out another 3/4 inch
and it clears the ports.
It's just the outside edges that are within an inch of the PVC, the center is at least 1.5" away from each port.
do you think cooling will be diminished from the sub being that close?
