8 Obsidian Audio 18's in an Astro
Well now that he has the subs, i figured i would post this up on here. I built the box a little over a month ago, but he just now got the subs from OA, so he's wiring everything up today and finally getting it playing. I'll post up all the pictures i have of the box build and what it looks like now. He wanted a low end ground pounder, and i gave him just that.

560 sq in of port
32 hz tuning FTW!
8 Obsidian Audio 18's
10 Powerware AGM batteries
300 amp alt
2 sets of Focal mids and highs (i have a feeling he's going to need more)

Don't think I've ever seen a setup in an astro that wasn't a wall. Should be interesting. I would have used threaded rod personally, though.

Wanted to keep cost down. Ran stress and strain analysis on this style of bracing and the numbers came out looking good, so i went with the truss style bracing. Some people might comment on a single baffle, but with t-nuts there won't ever be a problem.

Blake (owner) had talked to Hank about his box. We decided since blakes van had a little more room (length wise) and less room width wise, we would do 8 instead of 9.

He says it is, even though the subs are only getting about 150-200 watts a piece right now.
