It is all old and pretty much junk, so will likely go in the trash.
Anyway, metered that L5 12 today. Did a 138.8 on the dash with absolutely no testing/tuning/etc.
hey i dont care about old stuff lol really just need set of mids and cross over, only reason i ask is i had a set in a car years ago and i loved em.
Well I really doubt they would be worth shipping. They sound like crap anyway.
alright thats cool just was asking
ummm never thought to use an old guitar amp speaker as a midbass in the door... that is sick as hell and i love the sound of peavey speakers i had an old vintage peavey tube amp for my guitar sounded amazing

The little 6.5s and 8s just dont cut it. Just like a cheap, tiny, wimpy sub wont cut it for bass, to get the vocals that you can feel in the ground you need to step up to the big mids and use big power.
The front will only have tweets, but the back will hopefully have some 2" compression drivers with some even bigger mids.
18's ftw!
Got my doors today. Just need to paint the top piece and then install the speakers. They look beautiful. Everyone says big doors like this always look tacky. I think these look great. Will really pop with the black trim pieces, speaker grills, and tweets in it.
A guy I know in Tampa did them. He has a shop named Trafficking Customs. If you ever need glasswork done in the area, he is definitely the way to go. Cant wait to get my rear doors done.

Doors look good! What are you using for amplification? Active or passive? And what do you have planned for your substage?
Right now it is passive. Even though I have a brand new Pioneer 4200BT in my dash, I think Im going to break down and get another 80PRS to go full active. Then it will be seeing a Stetsom 5k on the front doors most likely.
It is getting a wall for 8 12s for bass. Just a small build at the C-pillar to leave room for a big mid/horn setup out back.
Yeah active is definitely the way to go here. But you can't run 3 way plus subs with the 80PRS. You plan on running the 18's in the door on the same sub channel as the 12's in the wall?
You have a brand/model in mind for the subs?
They are 15s and 12s in the doors, but they play roughly the same frequencies, so they will be on the same output. I think if I can bandpass them from 80-100hz to 4-5khz I'd be good to go.
As for subs, likely the cheap American Bass subs. Probably run them on some sort of 3k or a pair of 1500s of some type.
Oh gotcha, yeah those woofers should be decent in that range. You can always play around with crossover settings anyway.
How much room you giving up for the sub box? Maybe go with 6 15's in a large box to compensate for lack of power? It would be more cone area, plus less number of subs to divide power to. Just a thought.
