    buddy's 07 cobalt ls build

between now and wednesday im going to be putting a system in my buddy's 07 cobalt. here are some pics of the box:

This is before anything is glued and screwed. just to show the internals

This is the front of it all carpeted. Not to happy with how it came out, i didnt have a proper razor and sissors. had to work with what i had.

Here is an angle shot of the box.

Pics of the actual install will be posted next wednesday. Just a simple build i figured i would share with you all.

    Things to look forward to:
    (2) 10" or 12" imperium audio designs subs
set of PHD MF 6.5" comps
Completely seal off and deaden my doors
    aquire a 2k amp
aquire a 2 channel amp for front stage

What's that tuned to? Looks like a long port with a lot of corners

Curious on how this box will come out to sound in a bolt.

    Two sundown e8's ftw!:

Front View of the box, right around 15 square inches of port, 1.1 cubic feet after displacements, tuned to 34 hertz:

The side view of the box:

    Pic of the subs installed:

    The final install:

My thoughts overall, the two e8's get way louder than the one we had in there obviously. They hit pretty hard. i have them on double the rms at 400 watts a piece and they are taking them like champs. i know its not the cleanest install ever, but he didnt want to cut up his carpet and having the wires running along the side was the best i could do.

That box is so tiny! What happened to original box?

haha that was just for one. the reason the other was so big was because the cubic feet was so little the port had to be real long. so since this box was for two, i could make the port shorter while still getting the same desired tuning.
