    will a second battery do me any good?

    I have a 120 amp alt and a yellow top optima with 0 gauge to the amp "which is a hifonics brz 1700" and I'm doing the big 3 this weekend. Does anyone think that I will benefit from a second battery and why or why not please!!!

    Yes, more capacity when vehicle isn't running. More reserve capacity when winter outside.

    It will help keep you at or above resting voltage under heavy loads but that is about it if your alt cant keep up.

    Yes, it will. Helped me ALOT because Im running 3k+ @ .67 on an 80A alt. lol

    Well I can get another yellow top for 100 so I think I'll just go ahead and get it. Thanks folks I really appreciate the advise. If nothing else it will be an on demand jump start!!!
