im trying to pick up the pace but hard when trying to pay for a wedding at the same time lol. goal is next weekend to have the basecoat sprayed and ready for clear while i wait for carpet.


oh and hopefully will have the port in to fill this big a$$ hole lol

thanks. i need to get another can of primer for a few more coats and then wet sand it down and then this weekend it should be ready for base as long as i get my other mods to the box done.

did alittle work today not much just wet sanded with 800 then 2000.... going to lay down at least 2 more layers of primer and then repeat wetsanding process then its ready for base.










after i get the next 2 coats of primer on there i am going to get the port mounted as well i work on my "wire tunnel"

ok so opinion... doing the box red in color with gray carpet on the sides. for the plexi should i do red leds or white ones to light it up? firing down upon from underside of amp or firing up into the plexi from under the plexi?

well not much to update since i have been dealing with issues with my house and a/c.... i did however find the led's i will be using and carpet and those items should be here this week, which means i need to get painting lol.

so dont hate on it to much but the picks are a reflection of 2.5-3 coats(no heavy ones) this thing will need like 4-5 more coats and then its onto the clear and then the laquer finish.

well it has 5 coats on it... i think 2 more coats should be good and then off to adding layers of clear coat. right now it is outside baking in the florida sun










also the ups man dropped off these two gifts the other day.....scored the leds for under 5 bucks shipped.

wont be more til next weekend when i get a chance to lay some clear down on it and wetsand the biotch. i may get the carpet going on my false floor and see how that looks in the truck this week.

well as it was drying in the florida sun i noticed a bubble/soft soft appearing, but it wasnt the paint which was odd..... so i had to do surgery the rest of the day.
