The car, or the system?
It seems like a pretty decent low-mid level system to me.
Both power and ground are 4 gauge, my bad.
It has two systems. The other is a stroked 360 magnum, full length headers, flow master 40s, mandrel bent 3 inch exhaust, and of course; cut outs.
;)
Nope, I got a helluva deal on mine. I prefer 2nd(68-70) gen chargers over 3rd(71-74), 3rd over 1st(66-67). As far as anything past that. . . well, '74 is the last year they made chargers.
You can get a decent driver 3rd gen for $5k. You would be hard pressed to find a decent driver 2nd gen for under $15k. :blackeye:
I am 19, and just a lowly lube tech. :p: The only reason I am able to afford this car is by do everything on my own with in my capability. All the other stuff I haven't been able to do, I have been able to trade them gunsmithing/carpentry work for.
This isn't some 350 SCB. Mopars ain't cheap!
That being said, I Don't see my car as some consolation prize, I LOVE 3rd gens, and pretty much have my life in this car right now.
Nice, I'd like to see a picture of that, and the details on how you set up your system. Wire routing, speaker placement, etc.
and arguably the last year of it.
The mechanic who's shop my car is currently in let's me do just about anything in his shop, and he knows his mopars. He has two Cuda's.

I got all of the pieces measured, and cut tonight.
I should start assembly on the box late tomorrow.

Also have a 360 magnum crate motor.
System is I-Baffled firing towards the back seats on a beauty panel also where the amp is mounted.
Tweeters placed above the A pillars and (2)3.5" full ranges in the center cutout. Wires ran under the trim and rear seats like normal.
Wanted that stock look overall so everything is hidden even the alpine headunit is installed in the glove compartment.
but yeah I'll upload some pics later
ive always been a mopar fan, and i love me some cuda...
Please, for the love of God, do NOT put any ******* goofy clown-car wheels on that car.
I was driving those things when they were new (Lord, I'm old). Got my first ticket at 17 doing a hole shot with my brother's '70 Baracuda, 383. Those were the days...
Good luck with the build bro. And long live Mopar.
Haha, my wheels are 15s, and my final set of wheels will be 15x8s(235s) on the front, and 15x10s(295s) on the back.
No wagon wheels on my muscle!
It's blown. Ontop of that, he used a rusted out hood he saved, and his factory twin scoop hood he still has(unmolested). It runs low 10s, and sounds like ***.

Nice. :)
I wish I was around in the 80s(with some cash). picking up muscles cars for 400$.
you have redeemed yourself sir.. thank you and him for not raping the classic mopars :)
It's been a while, but I have been busy with work, and focusing on the car, and not so much the car audio.
I heard the car run(REALLY, run) for the first time ever! through the new flowmasters, through my freshly installed dual 3 inch exhaust. It was pretty cool. On the other hand, it had a massive vacuum leak, causing it to idle at 3 grand(even when the carb butterfly was closed completely). It turned out to just be a gasket, and the car should be on the road in the next week or so. When I reach that point, I'll be finishing the car audio ASAP.
I've finished building the sub enclosure, but have yet to paint/cover it(not sure which route I am going.)

It was a little tricky, but I wired in my new HALOs to where they will turn on while my subs hits, or I can flip a switch and they are on(or off) .

I also put fat mat nearly everywhere, AND installed my mids(they aren't wired, but I got the holes cut, and they are bolted in.) I covered the floor, doors, roof, inside firewall, trunk sides, trunk lid, axle hump, etc.

Dude, to be 19 and have this car - well done. The system is fine. Glad to see you are doing a decent job.
Any door speaker pics?
