Installing the Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD with a parking brake sensor bypass.

Was anxious to replace the blown factory speakers so I just tossed these 4 inch Alpine Type-S in the front and rear. Upgrading these in the distant future.

Sundown, Fosgate, and FI send me some goodies

Got the 18" FI Q and SAZ-1500D V2 installed with a single Fosgate 1/0 run to the stock battery in a 7.5 ft^3 sealed box. Stock electrical can't push the sub for chit, interior lights all but turn off and the amp goes into protect mode at barely audible levels.

Currently waiting on Amazon to ship me two Kinetik HC1800 batteries and some KnuKonceptz 1/0 battery terminals. Hopefully the bats will hold me over until I get the funds for a HO Alt.
Also considering painting the box with some of that rugged spackle sort of paint. Was gonna do the high gloss but then I remembered I can't have nice things.
PS. Eff you china.

Look into Rustoleum Universal paint with the Hammered finish. Its a really neat texture and if you prime the surface and sand it real smooth before you throw on the Rustoleum then you will have a super smooth and glossy textured finish. It runs about $8 a can at Home Depot, the can has a trigger not a conventional button on top and 1 can is enough to cover a 4.5 cu/ft box.

I've got the textured paint on my enclosure and like it, a bit different from most of the carpeted ones:)
Re: Toyota 4Runner - First Big Boy Build (That means a mofuggin 18!)
I used a Giani custom granite countertop painting kit on my box, the wife did actually... black auto grade primer, then a few layers of coloring, and two layers of clear coat!

Why did you do a sealed box? :crap:
Re: Toyota 4Runner - First Big Boy Build (That means a mofuggin 18!)

Are you chitting in my mouth? What sort of bats are you running? If the big three can do that much for me I gotta get that done..

Do any of you guys happen to have pictures of your boxes with the textured paint? The Rustoleum hammered finish was what I was thinking of I just couldn't remember the name, I've used it the canned version of it before on plywood that was used as decking for an old flatbed, really turned out well I thought. I'm really curious how that granite counter top kit came out, as well as the spray version of the Rustoleum.

Gotta love that 60A Alt huh?
Too bad you got the 3VZ, it's a turd of an engine, hoping to do a swap in mine soon, 5VZ or Chevy 4.3.

What really blows is that I drove 2 hours to go look at it cause it was advertised as a 96 which has the 3.4..

Haha, I would've been soooo pissed.

I was a little peeved. Ended up getting the truck for a very respectable price as a result of it though.

Both of those are fecking ****.. I'm definitely sold on the hammered finish now. But as of yesterday I decided I wanted to go ported so probably not gonna waste any more effort on the current sealed box.
