Fi SSD 15 box build

I didn't get any pictures during the process (camera was down and decided to not come on until it was all done). But the box is 3.3 cubic feet with 48 sq in of port tuned to 32 hz. This is also the first time i've ever done a kerf port, and i thought it turned out pretty good.

No carpet yet. Kid i built it for wants to leave it bare right now.

I love bare wood boxes, and this one looks cool. I was just wondering about the second picture, was there a problem with sealing along the kerf or something?

Thanks. And no i just wanted to take a close up of the bottom of the kerf. Haha. It's all completely sealed from the inside with clear silicone.

How does it look? Bedliner and gloss white.

I like it, I would have continued the white over the top and all the way around the box on the right side. When you made the kerf cuts how deep did you go?

I left 1/16" of wood on the kerf cuts.

Looks good. Did you make it tall so you can have room for stuff and not have to go wider?

It's going in place of one of the back seats in an Avalanche (the vehicle in the picture is my gf's Escape). The box will either be facing foward or facing the door. Which ever way sounds best. I won't be there for the install, but i'll go back once he gets his sub in and take some videos and pictures.

Ah looks good. Like everything about it. The contrast of the white and black is nice.

Thanks. It's going in an white Avalanche with blacked out wheels, lights, windows, etc. So this will be a nice addition. This kids has only ever had sonys and CVR's in sealed boxes, so this should be a nice change.
