Alright, remade my baffles. Need some opinions on what style I should do.

First is both baffle and trim plate together glassed into panel. While it may be easier, I plan on sealing my doors using MDF cut to match the various openings and I'm not sure how I can get it for an IB setup if the woofer isnt mounted to the metal door itself, rather than the plastic panel.

The second option (which is the way I'm leaning) is seal the door, mount the MDF baffle to the door, align the top plate and glass it into the door panel. When the panel is installed, it will hide the mounting hardware and only show the woofer. This would allow me to have the woofer attached firmly to the door and create a good seal allowing for more midbass in a IB config.

Option 1 is on the right, Option 2 is on the left. I'm going to 45 the trim panel more but it gives a rough look of what I'm talking about.

PS. The grill is just sitting on there so it's popping out more than it will when installed. I've already put on the T-Nuts.

I'm also thinking about incorporating a Plexi trim plate with an LED rather than using the MDF on option two.

i like option 1 myself

kinda want to do that to my car but cutting my panels is a big risk at 300 a side to replace. but i still may do that since i need the mounting depth

Started my doors. Currently the passenger side is curing. I just realized that after I had wet it down.. I remembered that I'm still on call for court... I ended up having to wet out the fabric on the panel itself to make sure the beauty panel thats molded into the door fits correctly over the actual speaker. Hard to explain...

Anyways if I get called in..im fucked lol

It'll take a little extra work because of the staples in the baffle but nothin a little duraglass wont fix.... Got some Kent Epoxy Adhesive to put around the sides to secure the FG to the plastic panel itself along with the staples currently in.

I had already fucked up a long time ago with the doors and had em already semi-cut so I was like " **** it..I'll take the plunge".

I tried to make a pod to mount to the door, but our panels are just to fucked up to make it work because if the akward design.

Alright got the door trimmed and semi-sanded.

Put the speaker in and attached the panel to check for proper fit. Looks alright to me.

Initially when I was taking the pods off...I shanked three of my fingers on the ******* staples...GG me

No way in hell can I even contemplate that Buck. I'm 6'4. Only way I can get that 15 in there is vertical.

I am contemplating redoing my enclosure though. I found my BassBox Pro 6 software and designed an enclosure tuned to 20hz with a pretty flat response curve but peaks at about 22hz. The one I have in now is just to **** peaky for that small cab. The new box will be sub up port front but it's going to be a tight fit, not much room behind the motor and I should have room to recline the seat to where I normally have it.

Doing more work. Taking long just for the mere fact that I'm working on it on my days off.

Sealed up my doors. Tomorrow throwing on some Ensolite IUO to finish it off. Was actually impressed with the mid-bass improvement.


Messing around with tweeter placement. So far I like this shot of them shooting towards the dome light. The frame will be covered with some cloth and glassed.



Made some hookups for my oscilloscope to make secure connections with the prob. I'm using a DSO Nano v2
One for RCA and one for speaker




Tomorrow is more glassing, sanding and more prep for paint...Also helping my buddy install his system into his new truck
