    Project Bass Golf Kicker

Finally, yes finally after 2 years of btainwash i got my local friend so far that he brought his car to my place.
it was done before by his local Car Audio Specialist, but he wasnt happy with the result, if he wants, he will put the pics and comments up here about his previous build. All i can say here is "No Comments" ...

But thats not the main reason for that thread !
im just happy that i can do something again i like/love

So He wants to get his car louder than it was before and i promised him i can do that , i dont know where i got the courage but i told him he will get very very close to 150 db or even higher with the setup he hit only 145 before. Well, i have a bit hope here

    So what we have here:

    18" Kicker Solobaric D2
    10" Solobaric D2
    2 x Zx1500.1 amps
    2 x SX 1500.1 amps
    Sx400.2 for the components
    Calibre CQX3
and DS 650.2 coaxials just for the show for his local disco friends :P

Im going to wall it and tune it low, about 33-36, not sure yet exact freq

Im so happy im back in business and able to make 1 man happy here

Edit: Sry about the pic, my Canon camera is away with my missus for another few hours lol

Any suggestions about the box dimensions or tips are always welcome

    cheers

    161.9 db so far (class SS 1-2) with 8kw clamped (2 x DDZ1-s)

    Re: Project Bass Golf Kicker

Oh sry guys i didnt explain it in my first post
2 subs will get different boxes, smaller one will be used daily to listen radio and save batteries for the "night boom" :P
Both subs will get separated boxes. And they will be NOT used together !

Build starts in next couple days, so you will get an idea.

Pics and blog will follow soon here

    Re: Project Bass Golf Kicker

Why not get a HO alternator and just run the 18? I think that would be better than having 2 different setups for listening. You could always turn the bass down.

In that car with a Solo X 18, if it's not doing a 155 something is wrong. The 10 should approach a 150 on music.

    Re: Project Bass Golf Kicker

Well, im just a builder, tried to tell him the things but customer wishes u know ...
I do my best in next couple days to convince him to sell the 10" sub and 2 amps and get some better amp instead

    @ wickedwitt

It really depends of the frequency, the lower the less ... we will see
We have TL also here to test so
