thanks for the clarification. yes it is
just bought a clarion vx400 touch screen to add
just finished installing the last 45's and glued the port wall and front down. had to notch out one of the 45's nearest the sub as it would have interfered with the t-nut.
going to be popping on the top and then shes ready to go for now.
alright more work done..
flush mount jigged
test fitting sub now that everything is all glued inside
flush mount on.. everything fitting nice just need to do some final sanding and route the outside egdes
going to do the flush in a high gloss black and wrap the rest of the box in 3m CF di-noc
looks sturdy. how did you brace the box, just wood glue?
PL, its contractor strength glue. the brace in the middle is 2.25" dowel
clarion unit came in today... i messed up and havent ordered the schosche kit or wiring harness yet. will do more pics as more work is completed.
box is done for now until I have more time to get the cosmetics done... which Ill do in the spring.
full box minus the flush mount which will be finished later
also found an old mtx amp that I plan to use to power components... anyone know anything about these??
Solid highs amp, does more that 37rms....probably more so around 50rms
Box looks solid as well. I have a 2006 Ford Focus ST with the 2.3l in it and goes pretty good. Love my Focus! And indeed, deaden te hell out the trunk, lol! I did and still rattles, lol!
Basically same car as yours for most part. You have nicer interior.

cool man, I havent deadened anything... I know I'll have to.. right now im running it off a LOC (which is ****), and just have the gain on low to let the sub break in. I figure its enough to satisfy me for now until the summer when im out of school and have cash flow to get working on the car again.
glad to hear the amps decent, i picked that up with a small 10 inch for 50 bucks back a couple years in college off a friend. sold the sub for 50 so free amp... figured I might as well throw it in on the stock speakers in the summer and then upgrade the components when the flow is in.
cant wait to get the double din installed and hear it really pound
BB's right, those were\are great amps. They used to be pretty spendy when they were new too. of course free's a great price too!
Looks pretty good man. Nice job.
