on topic tho, I've thought about doing something like that with my ashtray in the jeep. Mines not quite as wide as that since I've got the heated seat switch's on either side, But I always thought it was a nifty hiding spot for something. I might throw a volt gauge hidden in there.

a voltage gauge ...something like the bass knobs for sub amps...a switch panel...like remote amp cut offs...on external amps i always run cut off switches for all the remote leads...in case i hear a funny noise...a weird smell or what ever so i can shut the amps down either all or individually....

I'm not sure yet...I'm having mounting depth problems with the Jensen...I may try a Pioneer

agreed I dont care what forum your on if you try to give your opinion with critizing when someone is asking for help/information then ur a fucken hater....I have seen this guy make tons posting and all I see is a bunch of nut huggers tryin to challenge him in every way...

I had many problems with install of my double din pioneer and bluetooth mic on my clk so my local shop had to fab it in there....

I had it fit fine during a test fitting after removing the insulation in the back...but once I connected all the cables its lacking about 1/2 an inch....I still have a couple more cables to run also when the weather warms up....
