Old School Mustang big block SQ build......

un fortunetly a saber tooth tiger stole my stock stereo.... lol I had to make a plate to cover it up it was so badly fudged up.
no interior shots atm. my interior *****. front split bench is got splits everywhere in it. ... and lotts of blue duct tape holding it together.

gona toss it - and find some low back buckets - n build a custom center consil to mount my mids since the doors are too thin for that.
the whole car does not seem small until you try to fit 4 average size humans in it. then its as cramped as it getts.

I think the back seat is coming out also - and im building a box where it used to go - in the shape of a seat still.... so small humans may sit back there
with my 18" subwoofer


I had a trio of 8" in the car already and ... I hated them. 8s simply do not satisfy my bass needs at all

at least I get great gas mileage with my 1 barrel carb... slant 6 lol

no not rare at all
only 3.2% 73 Mustangs were equipped with PW....out of nearly 135,000 produced
less than 12,000 of the nearly 135,000 were convertibles
so I guess not rare at all...*******

I've seen 100's on the street at car shows...and all over and have never seen another...but since such a low production number I'm sure many have not survived...

Psst... You might wanna read your ad. Here, let me help you:

"An engine similar in design to the Lima series engine, the legendary 351 Cleveland made its debut in 1970. While technically a small-block in many ways, its oval ports, canted heads, and physical size made people think of it more as a “mid”-block than a small-block."

See. Small block. Just because the ports changed doesn't mean its automatically a big block engine. Same goes for the changing of the head angle.

Pontiac did the same thing with their legendary Ram Air series engines. They used Round Port exhaust ports instead of D ports. But guess what, they bolt onto the same block casting for a 400 cui engine. So just the same as your Ford, the Pontiac isn't a big block due to a head design change.

So congrats. You have a small block v8 and you got snookered by the person who sold you the car who claimed it was a big block. At least it ain't a v6.

Now, can we put this to rest and see some actual work on the Stang?

it came from the factory in my White Trans AM and my Trans AM is a Pontiac not an Olds
