Did you get the idea of turning it the juice down encase later she wants more later all you'd have to do is swap some wires / twist a knob?
Was what i was thinking(until i searched and found the amp is really 500wrms)

i also see no highs/mids /no highs amp looks like you are in 1 step of a 3 step project. And i say that because with more bass should come more highs/mids.shpould be able to get away with 500rms setup i guess idk..

anywho nniiice the genesis is a nice overall vehicle i think there's a guy here with one and it has some nice rims with all the name emblems removed looks good i'd redline 1.
the amp does 500 at 1ohm the amps are labeled number of channels followed buy the max rms ex 1500= 1 channel x 500watts try and do your research on amps u dont have in ca before u speak about them. these are actually built here in louisiana

Yes, but the Genesis drives the correct wheels - the rear ones! Besides, I already had a 2007 V6 6MT Accord and my wife can't drive a standard. I am seriously considering a Genesis 2.0T with a turbo swap for my next vehicle. My chin hit the floor when I read about a 2.0T running high 12s with a turbo swap and a retune.

The vehicle comes with a "premium" sound system and a crappy subwoofer. It actually has a JBL amplifier powering all the speakers.

The True Bass sub is a DVC 2 ohm sub so I figured I would finally get a chance to use my Lunar subwoofer amp on something. Of course, the 500 watt RMS rating is a lie because it is closer to 700 watts RMS @ 1 ohm!

Unfortunately, I am afraid this will just be step 1 of a multi-step process. Wife wants more bass, so I am going to address her issue first. I also have a set of Genesis Profile 16 components to put up front for when she complains about the lack of mids and highs.

I am waiting until after CES to see if any of the manufacturers will come out with something that competes with the MS-8. I heard a rumor that both Arc and Alpine have some new factory integration processors in the works.

Sadly, that was the only way I could achieve a 32 Hz tuning without building the port bigger than the enclosure itself. I still have reservations about building the port area way below the traditional 66% of the Sd spec. Then again, the enclosure was built as cheap as possible as a "test box" and I can build another one if this one doesn't work out.

Although Harmon International owns both Infinity and JBL, I find it funny that the Genesis Coupe Infinity Premium Sound System contains JBL parts. As for the amplifier availability, I believe it is an OEM piece for Hyundai and who knows what other auto makers.

This is the wiring diagram for the factory amp:

I haven't measured it yet, but I'd be shocked if it was much more than 50 watts max per coil.

This is the factory 8" IB sub in the rear deck:

You obviously must not know anything about cars than. The new Hyundai upper class cars are VERY nice. The Genesis sedan competed against BMW and Mercedes. It even got the Car of the Year award in 2009 or 2010. Yes their older models are garbage, but their new upper class stuff is great.

If hyundai would finally decide to sell anything over the base model with a standard tranny id be all over one. Someone correct me if im wrong, but last i checked, anything with a turbo from them is mated to a auto transmission...seems kinda silly if you ask me.
Nice car man, I really love them!
