Ill invest in some clamps, AND use some screws.
Because a screw has way less surface area then a Clamp. I have had screws pull all the way through MDF. Not saying you can't, but you will get a way tighter seam if you clamp then screw.

Sorry for not updating lately. I took my box into my shop at school because I thought my woods teacher would know what to do. I have everything cut out and started gluing last week. I am not sure how I will carpet this big box though. How many yards of carpet do I need? What kind of carpet should I get? What adhesive should I get?
So the box will be done tomorrow, I bought 3 yards of charcoal felt. From what I have heard 3M spray adhesive is the way to go. Also, this did not occur to me until I was done where will I run the wires? Should I grab a 4 1/8 speaker terminal? Or just run them through the port?
Yay! another S10 build! , I get a ****** everytime I see a thread that has "S10" in the title!
I finished my first box today, and got it carpeted. I want to thank RAM_Designs once again for the design. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a legit, and affordable box design.
Looks pretty good broski.
I am a complete noob at ohms, and ohm loads. I just drilled a 3 inch hole for a 4 1/8 in terminal cup. So the HDC3 15 I have has two different sets of wires, positives and negatives. and my amp (AQ1200) has two positive and two negative ports. So basically my question is should I put the two positives on one end of the terminal cup, and put the two negatives on the other end of the terminal cup? Or will I have to buy another terminal cup and put one single positive to one end of the terminal cup and one single negative to the other side of the terminal cup, and then do the same with another terminal cup? Sorry for the retarded question, I attempted to word it the best I could.
Check the manual and find out which pair of connections on the amp will allow you to run the amp at 1ohm safely. Some amps are weird about what works and what doesn't. Then, just run a wire from the + terminal at the amp, to the + connection on the terminal cup. Inside the box run a wire from the + side of the cup to the + hookup on the first voice coil, then run a short wire from there to the + hookup on the second voice coil. This should create a single line with all of the positives hooked together.
Do the same with the negatives, and you'll effectively have it wired in "parallel", which will leave you with a 1ohm final load, assuming you have a D2 sub.

Then you can either wire it to 1/2ohm or 2ohms...that AQ might be able to handle the 1/2ohm load, just depends on what you're listening to and how much you crank it.
I'd persoanlly sell the AQ and get something that does the most power at 2ohms.
****, if I could, I really would like to keep the AQ, but if not I guess I could find something else. I will be listening to rap, and high bass music. I would like to turn it up fairly high, I am just trying to get the best bass out of this setup.
