2010 Rogue Daily SQ Setup

Had a box made for the two SA 10s I picked up (D2s) (2.77cu 35hz), and wrapped it in black vinyl. Its my first time wrapping a box, and for the most part I think it turned out pretty good. The couple off spots are hidden the way it sits in back anyway. Being vinyl, the ends were harder to line up the creases, but in person it looks a lot smoother then in the pics.

Goal is to get the amp working and be able to run 1500ish .5ohm daily. For the first month running 600w 2ohm to break them in. Even at that they get lower and seem louder then the single RE SE 12 D4 I was running off a Kenwood amp at 750rms 2ohm. Cant wait to really push them.

Got a Kenwood X794 HU, PG RSD 6x9s and 6.5s coming in. Only thing left is a decent amp, thinking of the MB Quart DSC480. Might grab some tweeters too if the wires are pre-ran.

$870 spent total so far. With amp and tweeters, that should be about $1k even.

Got the HU and front 6x9s in today. Would have put the 6s in the back, but the stock baffles are built on to the stock speakers so Im going to have to get some first. No amp for the coaxs yet, just off the HU and its a night and day difference over all the stock stuff. The high and low filters help alot, and the subs sound much better and get much more use off this HU. I wasnt liking the new Avenged 7 Fold album cause I never heard any bass coming from the songs, but I see why now.

Ill post some pics tomorrow. Running about 900rms to the subs so far. I need to get the Big3 done before I start pushing more.

I read in another thread that the more resistance the better the subs sound, so for SQ is it better to keep them at 2ohm then to run them at .5ohm? I was going to grab abother battery and go to .5, but if thats going to hurt the SQ Ill save the cash and keep them how they are.
