2001 Mazda Tribute build

So this is a fairly budget build, going in my 2001 Mazda Tribute. Only putting subs in the back, and new head unit, running stock speakers off the HU. I may upgrade my front stage eventually, but the stock comps will do until I have the funds for something else. So here's what's going in.

HU: Alpine CDA-9886
Subs: 2 12" Diamond Audio D3
Sub Amp: Sundown Audio SAE-1200d
Box: 4 ft^3 @ 32hz
Wiring: Kicker 1/0, Audison RCA's
2nd Battery: to be decided

Box sounds a little bit big .. Jk, looks like some good plans to begin with.. I like these smaller, simpler builds

Yeah I am. When my dad originally bought the tribute after i wrecked the saturn he didn't want me changing anything with it. I decided to ask him again this past weekend if I could ad subs and he said alright as long as we could easily pull the box for when we need cargo room.

Just gotta install the port, glue on top, glue on 2nd baffle for back side of box amp will be on, and lots of sanding along the way. I want to wait to put on the top until the subs get here so I'm sure it will all fit with the port and whatnot.

Also if anyone has figured out the easiest way to get to the alternator on a mazda tribute, help would be much appreciated. I'd like to do the big three but am unable so far because of the placement of the alt.

Well I decided I'm gonna change my tuning to around 33-34hz so the port will be shorter so i can do it facing up.

Changed my mind, I'm gonna bump the tuning up to around 35hz so I can do subs up port back.
