looks nice and clean.....what happened to the rabbeting part of the box?
It is all rabbeted and brad nailed. Rabbets are along the edge, dados are grooves down the face.

so you're saying that rabbeting is kinda like rounding over the edges?.....btw what how much airspace are you givin them?
No, rabbets are grooves along the board's edge giving you two gluing surfaces instead of one. Google it.

well i knew that they were grooves cut along the edges.....i just thought you were calling them somethin different....plus i couldnt see where you rabbeted in the pics, so i was confused
Oh, lol. The only way you can tell is by looking at how thin the wood is where it is joined. It is 1/2" instead of 3/4" because of the 1/4" rabbet.
