    Haulin' Thumper

Started with a stock 2005 Silverado Crew Cab. Did a 4/7 drop on it and put on some new shoes and plan to bag it in the near future. I use it to haul the toys with as well as friends so I can't get too carried away with it but I want it to have a nice sound system for not too much money (which is relative I know).
    So here's where it stands.

Gutted the interior the other day to quiet it down.

Bought a few rolls of raamat hoping it would deaden the noise (it didn't).

One roll was used on the floor and back wall (60 sqaure feet) and it is only one layer thick. I don't think I am using the right material to kill the noise, no matter how many layers I put on. So I need some advice on something to kill the road noise. I think I need a thicker insulation or foam of some kind.

Hence the reason for the 4/7 drop. Might not be sitting level either. I personaly think it would look better much lower and bagged. Still looks sick!! White on black is my fav. I'm sitting about the same and still want lower. But twin I-beams are no bueno for bags.

Edit; I get what you're saying. The middle where the doors are, aren't in line with the front and rear valances of the truck. I'd imagine a front smoothie bumper and rollpan would clean that up and it would look level all the way through.

    Re: Haulin' Thumper

Like every vehicle some will like it, some won't. Some like certain aspects, some won't. Don't really care because I like it and that's all that matters. Question is...what can I put on the floor to kill the road noise and actually deaden or quiet the metal? I have ensolite to go over the top of the raamat BTX but this is pretty thin stuff and I don't think it will be enough to absorb or dampen the sound waves either.
