These things sound excellent when pushed against the opposite wall. I've listened to a few good tracks and watched a bit of the two Transformers movies and I'm very impressed. I have some major air leaks around the speakers too as it's just wood on metal. Once I get that taken care of (double baffle and/or gaskets), they sound be pretty solid. They're also a good deal louder across the spectrum than my single Exodus DPL-10 with them getting far less power than they want and the DPL being about maxed out (125rms each per 8 vs 250 to the 10).

Very nice. What is it about using your router that is so life-threatening?

Beautiful! I'm trying to get a hold of some TB 10" right now.

Nice to see you're still around, buddy!

If the 10 follows the 8s, it should be a great driver. I can't wait to hear them in the car.

It's missing a bunch of screws as they randomly fall out while routing and if they get caught by the bit, it launches them like a bullet. I had one wedge itself about .25" into a piece of MDF. Imagine that catching you in the throat! That and the collet is rusted and doesn't hold well so sometimes the bits like to fall out... again, not fun.

I might try rope caulking it as that would be quick and easy.

Re: Tapped horn for 2 True Bass Solutions 8s

Yea, it ***** for sure. I make it work and I'm just very careful with it.

I haven't fixed the leaks yet but I might do that today or tomorrow. I took a quick vid of it shaking some picture frames in my house. It's loud enough outside that my neighbors were asking if that's what they saw me building the other day. For reference, I live on a 1 acre lot and so do my neighbors.

    Video may need process time:

Re: Tapped horn for 2 True Bass Solutions 8s

It's on a plate amp that says 250w and I think it does 250rms at 4 ohms so each are seeing about 125. Should get interesting when they're each seeing about 300.

Interesting...you may have to design me one of these things to play with once the TB 10s" get here...

What's the length of the box and how many cubes total is it, again?

    It's 47x14x14 so about 5.3 cubes gross.

Where would I read about esoteric box designs such as this? And more advanced enclosure topics so I could better understand how that works?

    Looks awesome by the way.

+1 for usage of the word "esoteric."
