I usually go 10 below tuning for the ssf, just watch the sub at first and make sure its within its mechanical limits and around 80ish for the lpf as thats where my front stage is crossed.
pretty pissed right now. Got in my truck and was messing with the settings and I noticed the gain screw is pushed in and just spinning in place! My sub is barely even moving. Dont know how this happened but idk what to do.
Nevermind the gain screw thing, got it figured out. It just spins in a full 360 lol still works though. Im getting bad tinsel slap (i thinks thats what its called) when jumping from freqency to freq, like on bass tests. Another thing...since this is my first DD sub im not sure on this but it seems like the surround on the sub concaves easily as in it creases easily when the sub has some excursion on it. Ive seen videos of DD9500Gs and some of them have it too. maybe its just my settings need tweaking i dunno.
Should be getting a video later today. Still havent figured out whats the loudest way to have my truck, but driver door/window open and passenger closed moves tons of air out the door.
Wanna see vids so I can know what to expect from my setup...
what are you going to be running?
nice..ill make sure to get alot in the vid so you can get an idea on space and stuff. Id just mount the amp on the box if you can, or try under a seat maybe. My battery is at an angle behind my driver seat on the floor, it never moves.
I dont have nearly as much space as you. I had one 12 in temporarily and I could deal with the amount of space it took up, even though it was a very tiny enclosure and only 1krms amp. I had plenty of room. Thats probably what ill stick with until i get bored
took some crappy videos :/ was in a rush. I havent watched them on the computer yet but if they are worthy ill upload them. But i def will get quaility ones soon.
STILL cant seem to get my settings right. The surround on the sub starts to crease when I crank it on. But that is also with clipping probally making it do that. Seems like it clips so easy...without clipping i cant crank it. What should I do?
I thought my builds in my truck were ridiculous...but you have a 1 seater!
Nope voltmeter reads 13-14 unless i have it cranked at idle it will start dropping low...and i dont do that. The clipping light only comes on when I try to turn bass up regardless of my voltage
ok iirc the bass gain knob is only to get your output to your optimum...so if you are cranking the bass knob all the way of course you are going to clip...set your gain lower and then you can crank the bass knob up higher...and didnt you say you were sitting at 13-14v with the audiopipe? something dont seem rite
