mazda6i07 fiberglass door pod build

Well, after being linked to my build thread with my door pods, Kris decided to come and drive up to Jacksonville, and drop his doors off, to replace his old pods which looked something like this....



Some call those pods, I call them a kinder gardeners project.

Pods off the doors.


I dont understand why they cut a big *** hole in the door, but whatever!

They kinda look like little smiley faces

Taped up and matted down


All done



Only got about 2 layers of matte on each door before I ran out of both matte and resin ill probally do another 2 layers tommorrow morning early.

wow...those first pods were AWFUL....i dnt see y people think fiberglass is so hard.....its fairly easy just have to have patince.....my pods came out rather nicely for my first time ever even otuching bondo or fiberglass.

That pod got some more trimming to make sure itd clear the dash.

Starting on some flush mount rings, got all 4 rings cut out, and my upcut bit broke in half.

No, thats where I set his doors when I was using the work bench for other things, like cutting the rings and what not.

EDIT - I got a storage unit I do about 90% of my work out of.
