    Re: SS Damp Pro Install

    Hmm,

    Question. Why are modern installs still using a 100% coverage practice? Damp pro very likely only needs 1/3rd coverage to be just as effective as 100%. If you want a full barrier then buy some mass loaded vinyl and separate it from the wall of the vehicle with 1/4" or 1/8" closed cell foam.

    http://www.soundaway.com/Mass_Loaded...rrier_s/31.htm
    http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/products/ccf

    Use less CLD (damplifier/dynamat). It's not a fully effective barrier and it's expensive.

    HU = JVC KD-HDR1
    Front Stage = 6.5 Component 2-way Infinity Reference 6010cs
    Midbass = 8 JL Audio ZR800CW
    Subwoofer = Dual 12" DVC RE SE (in a dual sealed 1.0-cuft enclosure & wired in parallel pulling 1-ohm)
    Midbass/Comp Amp = Planet Audio BB175.4B (4-awg power cable)
    Sub Amp = Cadence A7HC
