Hey man did you pick up more than one pair of those mids? Or are the same ones you were trying to sell? Btw I've figured out that the mids I got on buyout were a speaker that Peerless/Tymphany OEM'd for some other company, using the same cone/dustcaps as the regular HDS mids, basket from the Exclusives, 4ohm coils.

I hope these mids like a lot of air, because that's what I gave them..
I learned the hard way that mids in the kicks can sound uber nasty, when not given the right amount of airspace/flow. So, I mounted the mids a little higher off the ground and out a bit. Now i'm just hoping that I didn't raise them too much to where under the dash will be a problem. I will need to do some treatments under the dash
As this is a two-way front, I don't want it having any problems with midbass.

Those are 8 ohm mids right? What are you powering them with?

They bridged off an old alpine 4 channel amp. Tweets powered by the HU
Nicee.. How did those kickpods fit in the car? No prob?

Nice thus far James, love those a pillars and kick panels. Dont look like a first time fiberglass job to me, looks great. And those mids are quite ****
I like the simplity of the front stage, seems like its going to sound excellent when its complete.

System is a work in progress.

This is a semi-old build. I still need to complete it. I only need to do the sub setup and mount the amps.
So far, it's really lively, especially the mids. I didn't expect them to have the output they do. The mids alone have enough kick to where I feel bass kicking the back of the seat. It's odd. I can actually feel the midbass kick the rear window as well.
The soundstage is quite centered as well. Thanks to T/A and having the mids bridged, so they can have their own level adjustments.
Since the tweets are powered off the HU (active CDA-9833) I used the balace feature along with T/A to get the tweets centered. I then use the gains to balance out the mids, & T/A.

looks nice so far
