iirc mdf is pretty expensive when compared to a sheet of plywood, all my trim/beauty panels are made of 1/2" plywood

you should get some bedliner or undercoating and spray the truck before you start putting anything in it, will help with the leaks and it will look better too

Re: ghetto to ghetto fabulous install now in progress!!

Looks pretty nice so far....I just wanted to add 1 thing..

You're gonna need to do at least 2 6.5's in each door pod...It just won't look right with 4 6x9's in the back and 1 teeny lil 6.5 in each front door...just my humble opinion.

Normally I wouldn't recommend it, but most donks have at least 4 speakers in each door

Re: ghetto to ghetto fabulous install now in progress!!

before i dropped the car off, i just cut out the lower part of the door whire my pods will be going. the speakers will be moved back about 2" to try and clear the window crank. can't go back much ferther because the major part of the door frame is their and i don't wan't to weeken the doors by cut too deep into it.

    Nice work on the install.

The car on the other hand.....those rims look horrible. They do not match the stance AT ALL.
