2003 Dodge Ram Quadcab (Not Your Everyday Install)

Ok guys so heres the finished product. My brother and i put about a week of fun hard work into this truck and I've put in over a 1.2 grand easily lol. The discoloration on some of the black stuff is from the mosquito repellent i had on..it was oily and made finger smudges on everything i touched lol.Oh and sorry i DIDNT vacuum!! In the Truck is everything im my sig:

2 New RE SE's D4 @ 1ohm (ONE FIRED UP ONE FIRED DOWN)

    4 RE RE Comps

    1 Soundstream PCX2000D wired @ 1 ohm = 2000RMS x 1

    1 Fusion PP-AM8004 wired @ 4 ohms per channel = 75RMS x 4

    1 Alpine CDA-9857 w/ iPod adapter

Also i need a new battery but in the build now is a Batcap 800 look-alike lol

2 runs of Lightning Audio 4 gauge with 200A fuse

If you have any interest at all in having some custom work done shoot me a PM because we love the projects and are more than willing to do work for your ride. We will offer good prices and you can be the judge of what you'll get in return from these pictures of my truck (Also we built the box in my Avatar for my Yukon).

    The Alpine 9857 installed

    Overall view of the back

Looking down at the flush mounted RE SE

The downfired RE SE under the box

Made the box to mount the stock armrest on and give it the clean look

Front fiberglassed door panels cover in black vinyl

Fiberglass starts flush with the armrest as intended

Box ends with the seats adding to the stock clean feel

(On both sides) Cutout with a plexi window to see the downfiring SE magnet...inside it lit up by orange neons (looks SICK)

False floor we cut to match the stock storage compartment to make the wires and amp clean

Let me know what you guys think of the install. IT WAS FUN!

Very clean looking install. How'd you do the vinyl upholstery for the box? Seams look nice and it's nice and tight and smooth without any wrinkles. Did you do this yourself or take it somewhere to have it done.

The whole install looks like it was meant to be in the truck from the factory, especially the mids and tweets

Did you read the the thread? One's facing up, and one's downfiring. Read notes by pics. The vinyl is the part that exposed. The part that is between the seats is carpeted to kind of blend into that part.

****, I wish you would've taken pictures and made a guide how you did that with vinyl. So much better fit and finish than the old sand'n'paint. Looks very high class. I'd like to know how you did the vinyl wrapping process because I'm going to be doing a set of kickpanel pods for my 66 mustang but paint would look stupid and the factory carpeting is too thick to wrap them. I can however get ahold of matching red vinyl for the seats though, but I figured I would have to make the pods really plain and flat to be able to wrap them with the vinyl.

the vinyl on the doors was relatively easy...just layed it on top of the vinyl sprayed everything with glue and pulled it over to the back and stapled it down inch by inch (very small staples lol). send me some pics of what you need covered and ill try to tell you how

I mean the seams. How'd you do those? The way I want to do the kick panels, they will stick out a good amount and be angled up and back towards the passegner so a single piece of vinyl won't stretch to the shape I've got in mind. I' want the vinyl to be nice and tight and have a nice straight seam that doesn't squiggle all over the place if you know what I mean.

fold the vinyl that has to be cut over its self. make one cut down the vinyl that will cut both sides. pull out the extra vinyl from under the folded over piece and buy some doubled folded material like what is on the seam (got it at Hobby Lobby in the fabric department) on the box and glue it over the seam. if that doesnt make sense pm me lol

Any chance of a close up picture of a seam on the sub enclosure?
