I bet you are not doing it on a $45.00 table saw though. I bought it to do my wood laminate floors and it worked great, but for chewing through a big piece of wood not so much.

Of course I drew a line, but trying to balance a half a sheet of MDF on a table saw that isn't even 18" by 18" inches is almost impossible. I'm about a hour from getting started today.

Well I got her put together. It needs a little touching up. I'll do that tomorrow. I need to fill some screw holes and do some sanding. Hopefully I can get some paint on it tomorrow as well. On to the pics.

And here is what is going inside the box.

looks like a pretty good box. do you have a router? a flush trim bit would be great on the joints that didnt match up perfect. and also, if i had a lot of big cuts to make, ill have home depot do it for me there. it turns out good 90 percent of the time.

I got them to cut up a sheet a couple times for me, but I don't think they are going to make all the cuts for me unfortunately. I wish I had a router, but I don't. I took my jigsaw to the edges a little bit to try and get some of the edges to match-up a little better and then sanded them a little bit. More pics coming in a minute.

Sure did, I found a good deal on a used amp that should get me around 1200 watts at 1 ohm. So I went for both subs after all.

Re: First ported enclosure for Ledoux289

I cleaned it up a little bit and rolled on some paint. It's not perfect, but I think it should sound good and given the lack of good tools it turned out pretty well. 3 days of work, x-mas and then on Friday it's time to start the full install. I'm looking forward to it. Here are the final pics of the box. What do you think?
