Wrx and mach 5

well ive been doing install after install trying to find what i really like. ive had good stuff and was dumb enough to get rid of it. hopefully this will be the last setup.

as it stands right now. i have a XXX 12, running off a kicker zx2500.1, but even with a yellow top, a kinetik 1400, and a 185 amp alt, it still cant cut it, probably just because its running at 1 ohm. the sub is just too big and heavy, and so is the box. so its gotta go (its for sale as well!)

shes a stage 2 rex. 231 hp and 302 tq at the wheels with simple exhaust and chipping :)

mach 5 audio ixl10.2's. extremely impressed, 1k rms a piece, 25 lbs each. $165 shipped each from mach 5. box build starts tomorrow.

they will be in their reccomended spec box, .8 cubes per sub after displacement tuned to 36hz. still ran off my zx2500.1

are u selling the re xxx if so how much

They are heavy little suckers, but I'm shaving at least 35 pounds from my xxx setup.

I actually wanna sell the car for a saab 9-2x. Same car, just the hatchback and branded saab. Commonly called the saabaru.. - I would like to do 2 12's or a nice 15 or an 18 if possible in it.

I installed one of the 10s in a 1cube sealed box in a reg cab s10 an it sounded great. With only 400 watts it got plenty loud for the owner, nice an clean bass, an got relatively low. Good choice

I can't wait until I get my 8 10"ers...good luck with the build. Are you porting them or going sealed?

Let us know how they sound compared to the XXX. I've been wanting to get ahold of an IXL since they came out. Very nice looking drivers. Now, MoaR PiX! (vids too)

i havent been able to turn up my XXX at all. the voltage drop is awful. the amp does not like being run at 1 ohm.

well im pretty much done. i gotta make a beauty plate for the battery, and the carpeting job didnt come out super clean. but cut me some slack, its 12 degrees out today.

so far i like em. i even have somewhat of a trunk. i just need to figure out some sort of grill option.
