meh, ports aren't necessary. I think i will get loud enough and it will sound good. If it doesn't get as loud as i want it to, then i will just buy some type x's.

There is nothing wrong with the R's sealed. Just needs to face them back, not sealed off in the cabin.
I did 144.2 on a certified TL with 2 sealed R's facing the back in my cavalier and sounded good to boot. Yeah, they would have done better numbers ported more than likely, but didn't have the room. This was on 1000rms. I laugh at the people who say it won't sound good sealed or do decent numbers.
Again though, I wouldn't be sealing them sealed into the cabin. Ported I would, but not sealed. You will eventuallly face them back, trust me.

Its possible, but when I did my 144.2 I had the big 3 done, 0/1g wire through out and a red top and yellow top optima. So my electrical was up to the task. You are running more power than me, but on 4g wire, so it may, it may not.
I would upgrade your wire and do the big 3 and at least 1 dry cell in the trunk. I like the optimas or Kinetiks. I had a 600 Kinetik in my Focus and helped out. I need to actually buy it back as my lights are dimming like crazy. I may just end up redoing my system at tax time though, who knows.
Also, why in de hell am I helping you out, you should be so lucky. :P

And a properly designed ported box will sound just as good as a sealed box if not better.
Did you even do any designing on this box or are you just screwing **** together?

first off, i will buy two type x's, and it will be louder.
and i did designing, we know how to make boxes here. It is 1.5 cubic feet per side. It doesn't matter if it is sealed or not, it is being made for SQ, which is why it is sealed off. There will be no rattles to worry about when it is done. I don't care how loud it is, but i know it will get pretty loud.
You do know this isn't just a typically box right? It is being made to fit the car perfect and then i will seal it and screw it down to the car.
