Because, time and time again, SOME people with meters at home always quote incredible numbers then when they do a show, those numbers are never reached.
Also, a sanctioned event usually posts the results for everyone to see.

still how does it matter? Not everyone cares for numbers, they just have the ability to throw up decent ones on music regardless. Numbers mean little to me for example.. music or burping.
