2006 Dodge Rims, Tires and Stereo Build (Pictures)

Alright guys.

So after 6 months of sitting on it I finally sold my 1/2 ton. Obviously that means I'm going to pay off bills...Nope. The same day it sold I ordered the new rims and tires for the new Dodge.

Here are some pictures of how she looks now.

Well the combonation of having the truck looking so much better, and the guy doing a sweet install in his Ford F-350, made me get my *** in gear and start working on the sub box for this thing.

I am building a box to hold two Boston Pro 10's under the rear seat. I had the two frame pieces cut out, and the top that will hold the speakers cut out. I had the two frame pieces glued and screwed together and I was smoothing out the edges that didn't match up with a router. Apparently I was doing something wrong, cause 20 stitches later, the box build is on hold for a while.

The router grabbed the wood, and pulled my right thumb into it. The face of the thumb was gashed wide open down to the bone in spots. The doctor did an amazing job stitching me up, so I will recover just fine, but it makes it hard to work right now, knowing I could pull the stitches out and look down to the bone again. LOL.

I have some pictures of it all stitched up on my phone, but I'm having some troubles E-mailing them to myself. I'll put them up if I can ever make it work.

Thanks man. I normally don't like the huge fender flares, but it really offsets the looks of the long box. The Dodge long boxes look horible, and are hard to hide. Because of those huge flares I got some wicked offset wheels. Now it doesn't sit in the groves in the road, and it's a bit scary to drive if you're not used to it. LOL. Good thing I don't like too many people driving my truck.

Here's a picture of the truck I just sold. It had a pretty original system in it. There's so much room behind the seat, I built a custom amp rack that sat the amp below the surface, and put a removable top on it. That way I still had lots of storage behind the seat, but also a nice looking system. The sub box sat at the end of that, facing the sub toward me, up at a 45.



And here is a picture of the truck before rims and tires. Look at those huge wheel wells. LOL.

You have towing mirrors. That truck looks like a ***** when they're not flipped out. Flip them mirrors out :-)

They're **** good trucks though, yours an Auto or stick?

I can't stand the looks of this truck with the mirrors flipped out. I'll only flip them if I'm hauling the sled deck or pullling something wide.

This thing is a pig to park. I never would have though there would be that much of a difference from driving a quad cab short box to a quad cab long box, but I was wrong. I have friend's with short boxes and they're easy to drive in town. Mine, well you have to be strategic. I love how much I can haul though.

It took me forever to find this truck cause I had to have the 6-speed. I hate autos.
