Nice, thats a 24v motor right? I'm a Ford guy so I am not 100% up on the Dodge trucks but I know 98.5 was the change over from 12v to 24v but I can't remember when the CR motors started.

ya its a 24 valve ..

opening half rear doors ..

47 re trans along with dana axles ..

and a few other things ..

Its a fun truck..

Ill have more pictures later tonight ..

working on / finishing the box tonight ..

probably tomorow start wiring things up,

Then when subs and amps are in, put seats and carpet back in,

Then go for rear / front .. gotta at least get truck drivable again ..

amp rack is in truck,

aq 2200d
aq 2200d
zx650.4

zero gauge run to each amp,

zero gauge grounds

12 gauge speaker wire to front components

16 gauge speaker wire to rear coaxials

im thinking of making two seperate boxes for the subs, and then making a small seat between them ..

so far 60 sq feet of deadening on the floor,

have to do about that much for the doors .. and then install door speakers and tune everything up ..

truck is now fully wired, floor is darn near fully deadened with Edead ..

doors are waiting to get some plexi or if i cant find that MDF to seal what holes are in the panel ..

Then Raammat is going up on the doors,

most likely building two new sub boxes tomorow ..

along with center seat

then going down to let a shop do the final tune on the amps and get SPL tested,

I think they said they have an audio control or something like that,

Not quite a TL , but no place within 100 miles has one ..

I like it so far, I have a 2nd gen ram 2500 4x4 ext cab too, mine has the V10 though. Post full pics, thumbnails are annoying lol.

the thumb nails are expandable to full size images .. and they are quite large ..

as far as updates ..


Both front doors are sound proofed,

Rear doors are gonna be finished tomorow,

along with coaxials and components put in .. then everything gets put together again ..

Everything basically is in ..

wires all done .. just gotta put trim panels back in and get some new door clips for the doors ..

well rear doors are ran with a set of phoenix gold coaxials off the zx650.4 , tuning by ear i barely had to touch the gains on the amp to have a very loud and clear set of rears ..

The truck already sounds better with just a set of rears added in ..

The door is sound deadened quite a bit ..

Doing the fronts with the PG components tomorow ..

and btw the 6.5 " speakers are almost straight drop in into the rear doors,

needed to grind about 1/8 inch off all the way around the mount and it fit right in perfectly ..
