I love mimivans. But why did you do all that **** to the factory headunit and not just buy a $10 kit at walmart?

Because it was free and easy to do. Not going to use the factory deck again anyways, sense the cd player and fader didn't work. And it is alot better looking then most kits they make for the van.

I will try and get vids up after borrowing a cam. Mine takes crappy videos.

It is loud enough for now. Getting use to it really, which means it needs to be louder now. But still waiting on the scores.

Believe it or not, I only dropped about 1/2 inch if that from the added wieght. Not bad for stock.

kool build looks decent but needs panelsto clean it up that brace is way to close to the distro lets sya u brake realy had brace falls off hits distro block ur unconsions and that starts fire . good luck

I did and actually understood what he was saying.

I thought about panels, but for now it stays the way it is till it is tested more, and redesigned a little.

Amps clamped imp rise to 1.9 from the strapped .5 isn't to bad. Full charge and burp off 14.1 I got over 2600 out of the strapped pair. Little more then there rated 1200 each at 1 ohm. Couldn't be happier about that. Didn't meter off the first clamp tho.

Did a 135.8 with a clamped 500 watts and 143 and change with a clamped little over 2000 watts. Not sure what the prob was, beside maybe the weather. Going to redesign maybe. Wife will decide if she wants it changed or not, since it is her vehicle now.

You need to get that power wire distro away from that bracket!They are pretty close and that soft aluminum can bend just enough to arch and caue a fire.

The bracket is far enough away and it is 1/4" steel and not aluminum. Just paint with a can of what was layin around at my friends place. Again, it is far enough away, just can't tell from the pics.

Thanks Cmc. I am happy about the way it sounds, just not as loud as it should be. Higher tuneing for comps and i think it could be louder, but don't like makeing just burp boxes anymore. Well for this build anyways.

We will see what the next build does. car,amp and wire is in the works. Just need subs,batts,headunit and be set. may throw the max-link in this build as well, but will see when that time comes.

You should still move it...at least up or down.I mean it is just screwed into the plastic.
As for higher tuning, it may be higher on the mic but not to the ear.Especially if you listen to rap.

No worries on the distro block, it is fine really. prop end up getting a reducer and running straight 1/0 to the amps anyways.

Yeah higher tuneing will get the mic, but don't care to listen to it daily that way. And not a fan of haveing interchangeable ports. take out, put in,take out, put in. To much to do when I am just in it for fun really.

the tuneing now is high enough, but still plays the lows well. listen to more rock and alternative style music then anything. Classical is in ther, and plays that fine.
