Also built one of these typical boxes. Hd it in an extended cab fullsize ford. Sounded halfway decent for what sub was in it. Tuned to 30 hz.

We will see how well it does for the first time out on saturday. Then work on it more after the initial number.

Forgot to mention. bro helped with the radio mount and wife designed the box for the most part. I just built it, along with bro's help and tools. ***** not haveing alot of tools, or garage, to work with.

I got a question though... do you have that power cable fused from the front battery to the rear battery at all???

and yes, 2 fuses between batteries. 300a at the front, 300a at the rear

Not a fan of Fuses. The way everything is run I have no worries that the insulation will rub off the power wire and short out. I also check the power wire to distro and amps often enough and tighten as needed.

what about spikes, or accidents? why do you not like fuses?

i love fuses. i was putting in my box (neg posts unhooked) and the neg cable accidentally touched the pos post and welded itself and blew the fuse. it could have been way worse

There is no way those amps will play at 1/4 ohm, much less 1/8 ohm each, even for a burp.

If somehow you can squeeze a burp in with each amp at 1/8th ohm, theres no chance in hell it will play music for more than a couple seconds, if at all.

How exactly do you have it wired?

I knew you would say something sooner or later. Since we had this discussion of sorts before.

Dual 2 L5's. Wire in para each yields 1 ohm. Wire those in para again and what do you get ? Now the amps are strapped to the para pair. What are the amps seeing ?

My calc gets .5 ohms final load and the strapped pair seeing .25 each. yes this is before impedance rise, but they are doing it and have been doing it daily for 2 months now with ease.

Strapped at .25 and each amp at .25 are totally different things.

So I worded that wrong. I fixed it. But as you see, each amp is still seeing .25 each daily.
