    Good/fair installers in Bay Area?

I'm from the SJ area, so anyone know of any fair priced trustworthy installers in the southbay area?

Custom Auto in Oakland (near the airport) is probably the top place in the Bay Area. They've been around since 1980 and have a lot of high profile clients. I've had 5 high end systems installed over the last 18 years.

I'm taking my '07 G35 couple there in a couple weeks to install a complete system and do window tinting.

It can't be that ghetto LOL, well that's good that you're taking a stab on it. What do you have left to do?

The 5 series are normally amplified with the amp in trunk. Did you get the stock deck replaced? Getting a full range out of the stock speaker leads might pose problems if you're using the passives from the aftermarket components. What year is your ride?

I've drove by there before, but never went inside. It looks to be a very nice store from the outside, I mean nice too...

its a '97...so far i've replaced the head unit, ran two RCAs under the center console, and put in my amp/sub...and i gotta say it's pretty ghetto. i haven't had the time to figure out how to get the RCAs under the carpet so theyr'e coming out of the slot where the rear cupholders used to be and going under and behind my seats and through the skipass hole intoo the trunk.

i have tapped into the stock amp wiring to get a remote wire source, and i was planning on tapping into the stock speaker wires also. i was told the stock wiring is really good since it's all twisted.

Re: Good/fair installers in Bay Area?

I figured I would be a good forum citizen and just piggyback onto this thread...

I want to have a simple amp/sub install done (everything else is still stock) BUT I would like to use my own used equipment. Can anybody refer me to a shop that will not overinflate their labor rates and still do a good job on installing equipment that I provide?

    Thanks.

Scott Welch, He has a new shop out in Walnut Creek, Eastbay Autospa, he built all the Goodguys show cars and was headhunted by Noel Lee for all of the Monster Cable cars. He's also Mecp and Alpine F1 certified...he'll charge but its worth it. You can also try Audiomobile in Oakland, they did some custom work on my boys Z...it was clean...Custom Car Alarms in pleasant hill is also known for their good work. If your looking in the Sacramento area, hit up Bobby Gately at Gatelyaudio.com his work is awesome, he builds all the plexi boxes that everyone wonders where to get.

Auto Sound Specialists in Union City is a good shop. There install bay has also been re-done. AutoSoundSpecialists.com is there website. There prices *might* be a tad pricey to some, but its great quality work. Become a return customer and Im sure they'll give you a discount.
