    bnib ctsounds 3000.1

I just bought this amp from JRCF71. This was supposed to be bnib but the warranty sticker is broken. What should I do here? I've messaged him just waiting on a reply.

Does the rest of the amp look bnib (any marks on mounting holes, scratches or smudges, do the terminals on the amp look light that have been tightened before)? Was the original box still sealed from ct sounds? I know the plexi bottoms on the ct sounds amps are never a tight fit and move around a good bit. I guess that could have broken the seal.... but I own many ct sounds amps and that's never happened to me

Yeah I found a scratch on the front that looks like it was painted to cover it up. Also some of the screws do have tiny bits of silver showing. Box wasn't sealed but I figured it wouldn't be.

    Re: bnib ctsounds 3000.1

As far as CT Sounds is concerned, the warranty tags breaking has been an issue, due to how the plexi bottoms fit and that will alone not cause any sort of problem with warranty service. That said, if the screws on the end plates show visible signs that a screwdriver has been in them, that would definitely cause a red flag and would possible void any warranty IF the amp hasn't already been to CT Sounds for warranty repair. And if it has, then the seller should be able to provide you with the appropriate documents.

In the end, if you were sold an item that was alleged to be BNIB and it's clearly not, I would contact the seller and negotiate either a discount in the price or a full refund... whichever works best for you.

    Re: bnib ctsounds 3000.1

I might just be paranoid about the screws. It could have just grazed something cause inside of the screw looks fine just the outside has very light scratches. So if I contact ct sounds they would tell if it has been repaired? If it works then I'm satisfied with just maybe a discount. I paid 615 which is a good deal. Used is fine but that warranty sticker broke definitely made me wonder. The shipping box did have a hole in it so it might have been abused during shipment. It's a beauty of an amp though.
