OP if you use paypal there is really no risk. You have 45 days to file a dispute and 20 days after that to file a claim if needed.
"If there's a problem with this transaction, you can attempt to resolve it directly with the seller by reporting it in the Resolution Center within 45 days of the transaction."
There is 0 need to panic if something isn't mailed immediately. If you can't get a hold of the seller that is a different story, but at least give them a week to get something in the mail...
I can understand that people are skeptical sometimes, especially because there has been a few bad deals that have gone down lately.
