If Jesse, the amp's 2nd owner, was told it was NIB....and the amp looked NIB....then he was right in describing it as NIB. How the hell is he supposed to know what happened to the amp before he got it?

Either way, that isn't the issue here. The issue is this; Jesse sent you a perfectly fine looking amplifier than has suddenly become beat to death for some unknown reason...

The original owners said he told Jesse he used it.

I also thought someone said they powered it up to "test" it before selling it. I assume the amp has to be "...taken out of the packaging" to do that.

You willingly purchased the amplifier based on the pics you saw. If you wanted additional/moredetailed/serial number pics.....you shoulda asked for them BEFORE YOU SPENT YOUR MONEY.

I'd be pretty pissed if I helped a friend by shipping his stuff then I get stuck with a paypal claim. I don't got a comp I post pix and all from my phone. Also when I sell say a amp i make a video of it off, powering on, guts and serial(s). Even pix packing it up. High end stuff I mark where buyer don't see on board of amp or bottom of cone on sub. I'm taking no sides I don't know none of them. Hope it gets resolved pretty crappy situation for both.

I took the amp out of the packaging to test it and it worked. At that moment in time I was not aware the amp had previous usage, until Jesse told me that he had used it. Regardless, the amp is in great condition, and I can assure you it looked nothing like the pictures he is posting up...

Okay, so the amplfier wasn't BNIB. That's grounds for a partial refund, but how did a perfectly nice looking amp suddenly become beat to sh*t once the buyer received it?
