Repair agreement between cyn and Spooney

Cyn and I have agreed on terms to have his amp sent to me for repair. The amp in question is a Hifonics BX-1500D mono sub amplifier. Cyn will send the amp to me where I will estimate the cost of repair free of charge. After the estimate is ready I will contact him with the price of repairs and see if at that point he still would like to go on with the repair. If he declines to have the amp repaired there is still no cost for the estimate and the amp is returned to him at his cost. If he accepts the repair estimate I will request a deposit in an amount equal to that of the cost of the repair parts. After receipt of this deposit parts will be ordered and the amp will be repaired. After the amp is repaired one further payment to cover my labor/time put into the amp will be requested. Upon receipt of this payment the amp will be shipped back to cyn at his cost. When the amp is received by cyn I request that it be tested/installed within one week and if there are any further issues at that time that I be alerted promptly.

Amp has been Shipped out as of Today, with Tracking Number provided to Spooney.

As Spooney has posted and listed, all agreements has been made and accepted between both of us.

Nice! Very professional way of doing this, and I think I know who I'm going to talk to if I ever need an amp repaired.

All credit goes to cyn for the idea. I do think it is a great way to do this though. Nice to have a public record of what's supposed to happen with the transaction .

Spooney has informed me the amp is repaired and working 100% that he feels confident.
I have sent a prepaid fedex slip to him by email. Payment has been made.

Amp is finished and has been tested.I have received final payment from cyn and a shipping label and the amp will be mailed back out to him on monday. All in all the repair ended up being a rebuild of the power supply and isolation of a short on one of the transformers in the power supply. Short was insulated and both transformers and output inductors were braced/strengthened to protect against any future vibration related issues. Mounting feet were added to the amp as well. Also resoldered some iffy looking connections on other components.
