Problem is that wasn't a flat rate box. WTF? If you're going to pay by weight at least use a better box and some padding. Personally I've recieved and shipped well over a dozen bigger motors than that just in a large flat rate box. Only motor I had an issue with was a TC3hp Neo that shifted (which was acutually in bubble wrap in the flat rate box). 4hp, Shocker Sigs, TC9, Kove Armageddon, etc. I haven't had a problem with.... '02 Shocker Sig is about a pound over post office limit, but you can get them out if you're clever.

Certain motors you can get away with it but you have to correctly pack it. I've shipped newer single slug btl motors trf motors 5200 motors etc large flat rate and have yet to have one come in damaged.

You can and I have shipped a ssxxx motor usps flat rate and I shipped a cascade motor and had a trf tsns motor shipped to me flat rated just lots of tape and bubble wrap and stuffing galore there was no packing in that box so the motor was bouncing around in the box and destroyed it.Not to mention the xl motor is actually a tiny motor the whole speaker weighs less than 40lbs.Honestly I have 3 out of 3 with usps flat rate I have 2 out 5 destroyed by fed ex arrivals not departures.Out of ups 1 out of 2.

lol. wow... ridiculous.. i just received a sub yesterday, traveled from FLorida to Wisconsin. ground.
had it wrapped in pool noodles and packing peanuts. nothing wrong at all. seems like this guy was reckless..
