I just received my items purchased from him and everything is in excellent condition and exactly as described. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

However, I do agree with you about your situation. If I were to put myself in your shoes, I would be upset and would expect an exact measurement. Especially something you pay for by the foot.

Like i said, as far as my experience goes, he is a great seller.

If you fix this, this WHOLE THREAD can be made to go away. Your words make it sound like you meant to screw someone on the deal. If it's an honest mistake, fix it and don't get all defensive, you look worse.
