I sold a JL 500/1 amp on ebay with a buy it now at $220. The buyer who has a 10 rating did a buy it now, and instant paypal payment. I stated that the amp is 100% working since i did test it right before listing it for sound and power, but stated sold as is. On the bottom someone asked me a question about a return policy (which wasn't the current winner). I stated i will guarentee a refund within 5 days if installed by an mecp certified proffessional.

-Wed 5/21/08 6:10 PM I recieve an email "
Okay well Im sending back the amp because I got it tested at an Authorized JL dealership and they confirmed that the RCA jacks were blown out on the amp. Im not upset with your business but the product. I would like a full refund since I met all requirements to your refund policy. Please Email back with any questions or concerns"
okay this is where i stand. Somehow i had a bad feeling but i still shipped off the amp Monday. Then I get the email from him on wednesday. The email from him seem fishy...worded "confirmed" blown rca jacks....i just emailed him the amp was sold as is, and why would he need to confirm anything. I didnt hear anything back from him. And on saturday (just got home today-sunday) i get the amp back from him thru the same usps box. The amp screws looks like it's been tampered with, and the amp doesn't look like the same one i sent him. One of the heatsink fins is broken at the end. I think he just switched the back plate, and returned me a broken amp. He also sent a letter telling me to email him a refund and reciept from some car audio place stating defective and a $35 fee. what am i suppose to do? i'm afraid he might do a paypal chargeback or something thru ebay. i'm not sure what actions to take.
this is the letter i got from him "The rca jacks on this amp are blown. I got it tested at an authorized JL dealership by a technician. I would like a refund accredited to my account. If any questions contact my email [email protected] Please reply promptly."
