I bought a PG Ti12D Elite from bholtmeier, it arrived promptly and very well packaged.
It was advertised as needing a simple tinsel repair; One of the tinsels had come off at the push-terminal.
I got the sub today, and the broken-tinsel side is exactly as I expect it - a very easy fix, with a healthy coil.
The other coil is junk, wide open.
I was in such disbelief about it that I got out another meter, and even tried tapping a 9-volt against the terminals; The broken tinsel side worked, but the other side didn't.
He was cooperative as soon as I reported a problem, and says he will send my purchase amount back to me. He did ask me to ship the subwoofer back, but I pointed out that I shouldn't be in the red for this, and he agreed;
So, thanks, bholtmeier; An honest mistake can happen to anyone, and I appreciate the way you took care of it.
(Actually, haven't gotten the refund yet, but I don't feel worried about it, the guy seems genuine.)
I'll cut the sub open and post the pictures.
