chef I drove 8 hours just to talk to the owner at this shop and he said or some other installer said their are over 28 car audio shops in Tucson alone,The mecca of car audio install shops. One place you can call or check out is Agressive Intentions in which one of the amps they sell is Zapco,The specialists is another place and Audio 2000 in which I am going to get my stuff installed at.

Re: Anybody experience Audio 2000 in Tucson,AZ

I worked for Audio 2000 a couple of yrs. ago. Bill Wycko can do some really sick work, if you can get him to do it. Just make sure it's getting done. There was some really shady **** going on there while i worked there. If it were me i wouldnt go there. If you want somebody really good and honest and can do some really nice work go see Pete Rycker at The Specialists on Creighcroft/Broadway he is a great guy. I promise you wont be dissapointed.

Audio 2000 is alright, but they can be slow if you are doing a ton of custom work.

Re: Anybody experience Audio 2000 in Tucson,AZ

If you want to rush your installations you should take your **** to your local audio express, home of the 1 dollar dash fire.
If you want amazing one of a kind work done, then go to Bill at Audio 2000.
I know all of them installers in tucson, I been in stereo since 1987 and I wouldnt let anyone else touch any of my cars but Bill.
The Specialists are very good too, but not my cap of tea, they try to sell you their own **** when all you want is installation, while putting your own stuff down.. pretty gay imo.
Very pushy salesman, really a turn off and their prices are out of this planet, they wanted 3k for a box for 2 15s and a amp rack.. lawl

Re: Anybody experience Audio 2000 in Tucson,AZ

    Rasta,

I dropped you a line on Termpro when you were first looking to get your work done. I'm glad Audio 2K worked out for you.

Bill is a good guy, no matter where you go, "true Custom" work is going to take ALOT of TIME and some money.

I'm always up to hearing what people have to say about the shops here in Tucson.

I've had to do some re-work on cars from just about every shop here in town. And two things I have learned....

    1) there is always a better way to do it

    2) Look hard enough, you will find flaws. (O'course with some shops it's not that hard at all)

Fact of the matter is; Just as there are alot of hacks in and out of the shops, there is also alot of great talent in AND outside of shops.

Regardless if you are going through a shop, I think It's best to skip the salesman and talk to the installer himself. (That is unless the sales person is HIGHLY knowledgable)

FYI- I am not at any of the mentioned shops.
