Glide touch aint that bad. I first thought it was, but now its pretty cool and ez to use. I have the 9853. Also the 9835 and 9833 are more xpensive, I think cuase they have that Vdrive thingy that adds more power output, and some other features that are not that important.

Well the 9853 was 100 cheaper and i dont really need anything else thats on the 9855. The only thing that might be nice is that it has 4 volt pre amp outs instead of 2, but that its like 100$ more. It does have that biolite, but im happy with the multi color display.

start lowering your highpass crossover
i ditched my rears, with time correction, i felt i didnt need them and its easier to set the time correction
i just tweek the front left one until around 1.5 or so until the vocals sound centered
i also dont use the xover on my amp, only my deck, lets me adjust everything from my seat

i paid $500 also for my 9835. 3 year warranty and $100 credit toward new HU if mine is stolen. i think it was a fair price and im still sceptical about the 9855. when i looked on ebay, the 9835's were $450 shipped

isn't the biolite pretty much the only difference in the two hu? I am still deciding if I like the glide touch or not. weird getting used to thats for sure.

if you read up, i see alot of people are having a problem with the new ones. not to say the new line is crap and alpine aint fixing the problem. me personally, i would look for the 9835 now that i see these problems. im very happy that i didnt wait it out and get the new model.
